New home coming!

Long time, no speak...huh!

It has been a long time since I have done a blog, and I want this to be a quick blog post.

I will be canceling the website name soon, and I will be moving my entire site to another site name. Don't worry...the name WeatherPhotog is staying, and will not change anytime soon or ever. I will keep up posted on the site, and when it will be up and running. I have found a site builder that I like, and it allows me the freedom to play with it how I see it in a way I want it.

Time frame...

I say some time in May, and right before/on June 1st. It'll be somewhere in there. I haven't made up my mind when it will launch because I haven't had time to play with it and make it. This is a general time frame I'm looking at so far. I am in school, and finals are around the corner here at the end of the month/beginning of the month. So my plate will be full of studying.

What to expect on the site once it is finished? I'll let you know in the next blog.

So stay tuned!

Lightning shots from today's storms - 7/21/13

The storms went up, and I went out to get a bit closer!

The storm initiation was very slow to get going, but once the west coast sea breeze got going, it wasn't going to stop until the atmosphere stabilized. Out flow boundaries from the east coast, west coast, and lake breeze from Lake Okeechobee...all came together over Central-Southern Orange County Florida which put out a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a bit.

When I got a bit closer like just north of O.I.A. on Lee Vista Blvd. and Goldenrod Rd., I mostly started focusing on the clouds (I'm a cloud lover...what can I!), but then I said to myself, "What the hell...lets try and get some lightning". So, I got out the tripod and put the camera up on it, and plugged in my remote. I missed a lot of shots, but these where my best ones. After I got done with my current location, I headed a bit more east to get a better view, and boy, did I get a better! Then I started to get in a zone, and started to get some shots of some good lightning shots. The storms kept on moving more east, so lightning kept on getting less and less. So I packed it up, and called it a day (a GREAT day to be exact!).

Below are the 5 photos lightning shots I grabbed.
